THE FAULT IN OUR STARS
"I'm in love with you and I know that love is just a shout into the void and that obivion is inevitable and that we're all doomed and there will come a day when all our labour has been returned to dust , and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I'm in love with you."
Reading is the thing that's helped keep me sane so-far-throughout this pandemic. It also helped me to reduce stress during work. It's the best way to escape from the stress of everyday life. By reading just a book , you allow yourself to be invited into a literary world that distract you from the outside world. I always like to read with some sort of stories. In this blog , I'll tell you about the book with stories that will change your thoughts regarding the life. They will help to escape in the another world.
Today, I'm gonna help you to escape in the world of two cancer-afflicted teenagers Hazel and Augustus met at a cancer support group. The two of them embark on a journey to visit a reclusive author in Amsterdam. So, the story starts with the 17 yr-old girl named Hazel Grace Lancester , she is the normal girl who carries portable oxygen tank with her due to lung cancer. She attends the Cancer Support Group at her mother's behest. Where she catches the eye of a teenage boy named Augustus Walter who is their to support their mutual friend Issac. After the meeting , the Augustus approach her to tell that she looks like "Natalie Portman" there they started talk about each other where Augustus tells that he had Osteosarcoma. and invite her to his house to watch movie and while hanging out. But before Augustus take Hazel his home , they agreed to read each other favorite novel's. Augustus give Hazel "The Prince of Dawn " and Hazel recommends an "Imperial Affliction "
Hazel explains about the magnificence of an "Imperial Affliction" - It's a novel about a girl named Anna who has cancer and it's the only account she's read of living with cancer that matches her experience. She describes the how the novel maddeningly ends midsentence, denying the reader closure about the fate of the novel's characters. She speculates about the novel's mysterious author Peter Van Houten, who fled to Amsterdam after the novel was published and hasn't been heard from since.
A week after this, Augustus miraclously reveals he track down the Van Houten assistant , Lidewij and through her he managed to start an email correspondence with the reclusive author. He shares Van Houten's letter with Hazel and she devises a list of questions to send Van Houten , hoping to clear up the novel's ambiguous conclusion . Hazel is most concerned about that Anna's mother. She figures that if Anna's mother is alright then her parents will alright after her death, Van Houten eventually reply , saying he could only answer her question in person. He invites her to stop by if she is ever in Amsterdam.
Shortly after this Augustus invites Hazel on a Dutch-themed picnic, where he reveals that charitable foundation that they are taking two kids with cancer to Amsterdam to meet Van Houten. After listening , She is thrilled but feels hesitant as she realizes feelings for Augustus and she knows , she will hurt her when she dies. she compares to herself "Gernade".
In the midst of her struggle what to do about Augustus. Hazel suffers a serious episode in which her lungs fill with fluid and she goes to ICU. After a period of day when she is released , she learns that Augustus never left the hospital's waiting room. He delivers a another letter from Van Houten which makes her more determined then ever to go to Amsterdam. The problem is her parents and Hazel's doctors team don't think she is strong enough to travel but Dr. Maria familiar with her case convinces her parents because she must need to live her life
The Augustus , Hazel and her mother went to Amsterdam. They meet Van Houten instead of prolific genius , He spirited drunk who claims he cannot answer any of Hazel's question. The two leave him with dissapointment , accompained by Lidewij who is horrified by Van Houten's behavior. They have tour at Anne's Frank House ,where at the end of the tour they share most romantic kiss. They head back to their hotel where they make love for the first time and only time. The following day Augustus confesses that while Hazel was in ICU , He found out that his cancer has returned and spread everywhere. They returned to Indianpolis , Hazel realizes that now he is Grenade because his condition get worst day by day. In his Final days he arranges prefuneral for him, Issac and Hazel give eulogies. Hazel steals line from Van Houten about larger and smaller infinities. She says how much she love Augustus , and that she would not trade their short time together for anything in the world.
Augustus dies eight days later. Hazel was astonished to see Van Houten at the funeral. Then he tells about their maintained correspondence and Augustus demanded him to make for ruining the trip to Amsterdam. Van Houtn abstractly reveals the fate of Ana's mother but Hazel is not interested . A few days later , Issac told Hazel that Augustus was writing a sequel of Imperial Affliction for her. As Hazel scrambles the pages she encounters Van Houten once more and He drunkly reveals that Anna was his daughter and died when she was eight. The book was his literary attempt at reconciling himself with her death. She told him to sober up and write another book.
Eventually Hazel learns that Augustus send these pages to Van Houten , So he can use the pages to compose a well-written eulogy about Hazel. Ladewij forces Van Houten to read the pages and send them straight off to Hazel. The Book concludes with Hazel reading Augustus words. He says getting hurt in the world is inevitable, but we do get to choose who we allow to hurt us and that he is happy with his choice . He hopes she likes his choice too. The final word of the novel comes from Hazel , who says she does.
Here we reach the end of the story. From beginning to the end of the story plot thickened and thickened and never was their boring moment , it just stayed heavy with the action and kept you hooked through the chapters. It teaches us that there is more in life than chasing our dream of greatness to be remembered , lets put less efforts in trying to pleases the masses but instead concentrate on special people in our lives. Also we often moan about our individuals life situation without realizing there other people out there with similar and worst situations. That can be used as strength , as their individual disabilities brought them together as close friends. Finally , life is entropy and decay, live the moment and when it's gone , don't be sad for it's ending but be happy for it to have happened. One quote from the book says don't seek wide love but instead deep love. This book is written by "John Green" the Famous writer.
"It's nice when someone shows you they care , when they let you know you're special and they always want to know about you. How beautiful when someone comes into your life, accompanies you and bring you so much without even realizing it "
